Catalan Tumbler pigeons ( Volteadora Catalana )

We must look at their furthest ancestors, in pigeons originating from orient (Turkey, Anatoly peninsula, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and the north of Egypt) and make a special reference to a pigeon known to this zone from immemorial times, with white body and black head, wings and tail (which could also present in some cases a black wing shield). Antonín cites the possibility of these pigeons evolving from domesticated specimens of “Columba leuconata”, to which they are evidently similar (small size, white eye, featherless gene, and ability to fly to great altitude).
